Join this upcoming Zoom webinar to learn about menstrual health policy successes and challenges in East and Southern Africa

Written by Fiona Sleigh, IMHER Student Research Assistant

Days for Girls and the African Coalition for Menstrual Health Management will co-host a Zoom Webinar focused on menstrual health policy in East and Southern Africa on Thursday, February 25, from 10:00-11:00 am EAT.

IMHER is an honorary co-host of the event. Additionally, IMHER researchers will be working with Days for Girls and the ACMHM to develop a summary of key points from the webinar after it concludes.

Keeping tabs on recent policy shifts and new product standards can be challenging in this rapidly-changing arena; however, understanding the processes through which policy innovations around the world have been achieved can help to provide valuable models for more efficiently initiating political efforts elsewhere.

In this webinar, speakers will discuss menstrual health policy successes and challenges in East and Southern Africa. For example, one of the topics to be discussed is Kenya’s new standards for washable menstrual pads.
