Who we are

Our website address is: https://imher.net. See more about IMHER here.

IMHER has been created and maintained largely as a university-based research learning experience for Dartmouth College students.  The IMHER research project and its associated website is effectively a volunteer effort in terms of staffing, with no sales revenue and with no donations to the project solicited or accepted.

With a strong commitment to open data and information accessibility in the development space, IMHER will never charge for access to the information that it has collected and/or curated on its website.  Citation and links to IMHER as the information source is sufficient.

There is a crowd-sourcing element to some of the information on IMHER, and much of that information is gathered through the use of Airtable forms. Some of those forms involving collecting information about individual organizations, educational resources, research studies, etc., with the goal of placing that information on IMHER.net later. As such, information submitted through forms may be made publicly available, at IMHER’s discretion.

With reference to contact information, we will always redirect users to an organization’s homepage, contact page, and/or social media site; we will never post the email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information of individuals on IMHER.net. Whenever we collect contact information, it is intended for the use of IMHER only, usually for follow-up to queries and comments.

Analytics

Who we share your data with

IMHER.net highly values the privacy of data which may be obtained through the viewing of our website. Cookie and tracking-related data is only used to assess website traffic and usage on an overall, rather than individual-level, basis.

Information submitted through forms, interviews, emails, or phone or text-based communications with IMHER may be made publicly available, at IMHER’s discretion. With reference to contact information, we typically redirect users to an organization’s homepage, contact page, and/or social media site. Whenever we collect unlisted contact information, it is intended for the use of IMHER only, usually for follow-up to queries and comments.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

Nearly all of the data that IMHER collects and/or shares is focused on organizations, rather than on individuals. You can, however, request that we erase any personal data IMHER may hold about you as an individual. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
