ICPD25: The Significance of the 2019 Nairobi Summit

The ICPD25 summit was held in Nairobi earlier this month. Menstrual health and hygiene played a relatively modest official role in the summit, but the fact that menstruation was on the agenda at all represents progress. Moreover, the presence of MHM advocates at the summit, in addition to a pre-conference event focused specifically on menstrual health and hygiene, provided networking and coalition-building opportunities for those who were able to attend.
